Superfuture Lovers of Westwood

Mission

The Superfuture Lovers of Westwood shall work to foster enthusiasm in the workwear and workwear fashion and learn about the theories, techniques, and lifestyle behind such culture. Superfuture Lovers of Westwood emphasizes and pays homage to the garments produced in methods that haven't been used in mainstream garment production in over 50-60 years. Members of this group are enthusiasts of the gradual evolution of vintage workwear material, like that of denim, and practice ways to achieve a fashionable appearance with vintage garments while still maintaining function and longevity. The Superfuture Lovers of Westwood shall provide all University of California, Los Angeles, hereforth mentioned as UCLA, students with the opportunity to participate in discussion about their opinions and views of workwear articles of clothing and develop a creative sense to pursue the craft of clothing creation. Moreover, the Superfuture Lovers of Westwood shall promote higher education in addition to the curriculum of UCLA by allowing students with the environment to recreate workwear articles of clothing through the oversight and guidance of experienced textile and leather craftsmen. Through this we hope to revitalize this style of garment production and producing something with detail that is not available on any other type of garment. This organization will bring together like-minded individuals into a creative organization set out to continue the craft and quality of age-old workwear into the generations of the future.
